TEACHING

O'Gorman offers drum set and percussion lessons out of his downtown White Bear Lake and Forest Lake studios. In addition to lessons on drum set and a spectrum of percussion instruments, O'Gorman offers "Piano Lessons for Future Percussionists:" a program designed for students who wish to play percussion in the school band. 

O'Gorman has over 20 years experience teaching students at all skill levels in private, secondary and post-secondary settings. Peter is also a professional percussionist, a McKnight Composer Fellow, and an American Composers Forum Teaching Artist. He has performed nationally and internationally with a variety of diverse ensembles and has authored two critically acclaimed drum set methods books. Although many of O'Gorman's students have gone on to received bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees in music, he maintains an ability to excite, motivate and nurture students of varied levels, learning styles and interests.
